Chinese medicine has its merits, and is just an alternative to what we called Western medicine, in some cases they really are more effective. (Try searching for Yunnan Baiyao, you'll see) but most of the time Western medicine is still preferred. CCP treat Chinese medicine as a part of Chinese culture so they're still promoting it.
